3.1 Report on the Board of Director's Responsibility for
Financial Statements

The Board of Directors of The Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) is responsible for the financial
statements of the PWA which have been overseen to be prepared in accordance with Thai Financial
Reporting Standards. In this regard, the Board of Directors has selected an appropriate accounting policy
and constantly implemented it with cautious discretion and the best estimate. Furthermore, significant data
is sufficiently, properly and transparently disclosed in notes of the financial statements.

The Board of Directors has appointed PWA’s Audit Committee, comprising of independent Board
Directors, to oversee and examine the reliability and accuracy of PWA’s financial statements, including
its internal control system. The Audit Committee’s opinions on these issues have already appeared in
its report, which is displayed in PWA’s annual report.
The Board of Directors also provides related data and documents to enable the office of the Audit
General, which is the auditor, to independently audit and express its opinions until the office of the Audit
General certifies that PWA’s financial statements referred to above present fairly, in all material respects,

financial position and operational consequences in accordance with financial statements standards, which
is revealed in PWA’s annual report.
The Board of Directors is of the opinion that the PWA’s overall internal control system provides
reliability to PWA’s financial statements as at September 30, 2023 that give a true and fair view in accordance
with Thai Financial Reporting Standards.
