5.30 Operating Performance
In 2023 and 2022, the operating performance generated profit for the year of 5,203.64 million baht
and 1,276.68 million baht, respectively. When comparing to 2022, the profit in 2023 increased by
3,926.96 million baht or 307.59 percent which can be analyzed as follows:

Revenues from water supply sale and service increased by 1,863.84 million baht or 6.72 percent
due to the increase in water users and the water distribution quantity.
Other revenues decreased by 41.26 million baht or 2.56 percent, mainly due to a decrease in
revenue from dividends, miscellaneous income, and revenue from government subsidies.
Expenses from operation and administration decreased by 2,632.76 million baht or 9.48 percent,
mainly from a decrease in provisions – joint venture contract, depreciation, and amortization.

Other expenses decreased by 131.11 million baht or 36.99 percent, mainly from decreased loss
on asset distribution and a decrease in other expenses.
Financial costs increased by 831.09 million baht or 83.99 percent due to an increase in paid
interest from provisions and interest of PWA bonds.
